Reminder will not appear... item not in Calendar

Don

When I enter a new appointment into my calendar and click
on the reminder button, I get the following message:

The reminder of "Whatever I am entering into the
calendar" will not appear because the item is not in your
Calendar or Tasks folder. Is this OK?

It seems that the reminder alarm still works OK, but I
don't understand why I am getting this message. After
all, I AM entering the item into my CALENDAR. I am
currently not using the Task Folder.

Thanks, that did the job...

Start Outlook using the /resetfolders switch to eliminate the error
message.

Ken,

I'm having the same problem that Don started this thread with, in July 2003.

However, I don't understand your reply, "Start Outlook using the /resetfolders switch to eliminate the error
message."

What does it mean to "Start Outlook using the /resetfolders switch" (how do you do it?), and what are the effects of that function?

Thanks,

Ted
