Reminder time set

B

BoB Brazie

Fully patched Outlook 2003 running on WINxp home.

When tools/options/calendar/default reminder is checked and set at any time
it only shows 18 hours when a calendar date is opened. Is there a way to
make this work correctly?

I want my default reminder to be set at 5 minutes not 18 hours.

Thanks in advance.

that is the default for all day appointments. It can't be changed. When you
remove the check from all day event it should use you default settings.

Maybe I am not understanding. If I remove the check there is no time
highlight to the right. All are gray and none are selected.

Yes I do have it set to 5 min but each calendar event opens with 18 hours as
the reminder. This happens no mater what time I have the options set at.

If you double click in a calendar day, the default item that opens is an
event, which is hard coded to give a reminder of 18 hours. If you select
New->Appointment, you will get your default new appointment (not event) and
it should display your default reminder time of 5 minutes.
