remembering passwords

When logging on to a web site and the box popped up
asking me if I wanted Windows to remember the user name
and password, I checked don't remember passwords on this
computer. I now want to have Windows remember this user
name and password. I have checked all the appropriate
boxes under Internet tools/Content, but Windows will not
give me the option to remember the user name and
password. How do I turn this feature back on?
