I'm using Windows XP Home and FrontPage 2000. When I open my website, I don't get the option to "Remember my password" so I have to enter my user name and password everytime I want to update my website. Is there some setting so I can save my user name and password?

TIA,

Greg

Try this,
Make sure you take the backup of the registry first.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings]::DisablePasswordCaching hides that checkbox

Hope this helps

I found that if I put my website into the Trusted Sites category in Internet
Explorer you can log into your site from FP without any password at all. I
think you need to be using Integrated Windows Authentication on your own
machine, and your hosting company needs to be using it too.

To change a site to Trusted: in IE to to Tools|Internet Options|Security and
click on the Trusted Sites button.

Good luck!

That will only work if you can save the password. Without the "Save
password" checkbox the password cannot be saved.

Correction:
My response relates to servers with Basic Authorisation, not sure about
Integrated Windows Authorisation.

I've tried the following solutions to this problem but I still don't have
the "Remember my Password" checkbox.

1. Add DisablePasswordCaching=1 to registry.
2. Add site to trusted sites in IE.
3. Checked "Prompt me to save passwords" for Autocomplete in IE.

Any other ideas?
