Remember log in info

How can I set Windows (XP Home) to remember log in information or
automatically log on?
Every time I try to access the network or the net it prompts for username
and password. There's a drop down box but that's always empty.

Go to Internet Options - Content page, in Personal Information click
Autocomplete, and check 'User names and passwords on forms'

It still doesn't. Seems it only applies to forms w/in IE.
It always prompts for a network logon for every new connection. And the
username drop down box is always empty. You know how it should have a list
of previous sign-ons in the box. I have to manually type in the username and
password every time.
Can there be another settings for Network Access?
