Work up one morning & turned on the computer to insert
system discs. We did so, but several files seem to be
missing and they asked for Windows XP disc, Our computer
came preloaded and we were unable to find the disks
needed. First, how do we get our own copy of XP that we
paid for in the purchase of the computer? Second, we
would like to clean all this off and restart, but what do
we do? Thanks for any help.

Is the system OEM?? i.e. Dell, Compaq, etc or ws it
a "clone" or custom built system that came with a XP cd?
If it was OEM contact your vendor on how to obtain the
replacement media. If your misplaced your valid XP cd then
look up this url for information on requirements on
getting a MS copy
