reloading a "OST" file in outlook 2007

Aggie Jeweler

I had a business that had a MS Exchange server, I sold the business. The
problem I have is that I deleted Outlook email account in outlook 2007 on my
home PC that retrieved the mail from my MS Exchange server. The “OST†file
is still on my home PC, but when I try to add it back into MS outlook 2007
under “Add new data file, it’s telling me it not a PST file. How can I get
this “OST†file open it Outlook 2007 so I can copy all my data to my personal
data file?

Thanks

Eddie

AFAIK you can't now. You would need to buy some 3rd-party tool that can
recover your data from your OST.

Convert your OST into a PST file (google ost2pst) and then use File > Open to
open it as a PST file.
I hope this does what you want. Let me know how you make out.
