I am going through a reinstall of XP Pro. It is locking up on me during the
"Network Install" phase as described on the monitor...approximately 31
minutes to completion. I've left it here overnight with no change and have
restarted setup several times to only lock up at this same spot.

Any ideas on how to get beyond this?
Thanks!

Does your NIC require drivers other than the ones within XP? Should you have
supplied separate NIC drivers during the install?

I'm guessing not...my PC hardware has not changed. Would it matter having
the cat5 cable plugged in during reinstall?

It might - try it with the cable unplugged....

No go...any other ideas? I can't even get it to start over, it goes directly
to the Network Install when trying to reboot.
