I have Windows XP Pro and it's not getting to the login
screen. I want to reinstall it, but I want to make sure I
don't lose stuff. That should be possible because I have
all my important stuff on a seperate partition (D drive),
although I can't access it from Redhat Linux. Would it be
safe to reinstall Windows, assuming it will do full
restore, without messing up my D drive?

Hi,

How far is it getting? What error messages if any?

Well, you didn't really answer my intended question, but
one of those links (last one) I'm going to try, an inplace
reinstallation. Thanks. :)
