Reinstalling SP2

Can you reinstall the pre-installed SP2. I am having trouble with Movie
Maker, it has some currupt files. In reading these post I found out I can not
uninstall preinstalled SP2. Can I just reinstall it in hopes that it fixes
the problems? I have tried all other options suggested on the Movie Maker
board, all the files are in order all the DLL's are in order and registered,
still some features just are not working properly.
Thanks! :)

You want to make a major change to your operating system "in hopes it
fixes the problem"? That makes no sense. If your car wasn't running well
would you replace the engine "in hopes it fixes the problem"?

With cars and computers your first step is to diagnose the problem. Once
you know what is causing the problem, you can go about fixing it.

First, ask your question in the newsgroup for MovieMaker:
news://microsoft.public.windowsxp.moviemaker

And when you post there, you'll need to be a lot more specific than "I
am having trouble with Movie Maker, it has some currupt files." Describe
the problem you're experiencing with MovieMaker.

Dear Ted,
I have been to the Movie Maker forum where a couple of very kind people
tried they're best to help me. I was taken through many steps to fix the
problem. After trying everything they suggessted and the last suggestion WAS
to reinstall SP2. I did explain the problem in detail to them and did not
think it necessary to re explain it in this forum as this was a different
question. But thank you for your comments.
