Reinstalling FP2002 and possible MS patches/updates

I probably need to reinstall my FP2002 due to some weird behavior.
I have the original FP2002 CD but I am concerned with all the Security and
Patches Updates from Microsoft.
Will I lose all the updates? If I have to catch up with them, will MS Update
recognize the missing updates and reapply them?
One of the weird behaviors has to do with the DHTML Effects. The only event
showing up now is for Page Load. I used to get as one of the choices Mouse
Over.
Any recommendations?

You will have to re-install all updates anytime your re-install an application.

Before you reinstall check your Tools Page Options Authoring settings
- JavaScript must be turned on for mouseover events
