reinstalling downloded programme

I have recently had a failure of my computer, I downloaded the full programme
some time ago and have order number and activation key.

as the original computer is destroyed with all that intails is it possible
to download the programme again and use the same activation key i received
when i purchased the full product?

That might depend on what version you downloaded and from where.
