reinstalled windows xp

i had to reinstall windows xp how do i get reid of the old fills or pull them
back up?
 
If you performed a repair install they should all be in your user account
folders.

It appears though that you have performed a 'clean' install and not read the
messages carefully: you would have been warned that all files and settings
would be lost.
 
Hi,

Get rid of what old files? Did you do a new installation or a repair
installation? Did you attempt to install WinXP over itself?
