reinstalled windows, lost ALL files, how do I recover them?

reinstalled windows xp, but I lost all my files, how can
I recover them, and did they get "partioned", can I

Pat,

chances are slim. The normal answer would be to restore them
from your last backup.

Your files are still on your HD. You have overwritten
your Resigtry Files. I'm in the same boat. It appears
that you may be able to go back and recover your old
registry through doing another XP install and choosing
option "R" Recovery Counsole.
