Hi,

I reformatted my 80 GB and reinstalled my XP home; whilst doing so, I
unplugged my 250 GB so that no ill would befall it. When I reconnected
it...it now has no drive letter (I am sure some of you will say, well duh),
and I cannot access it. It shows up in computer management...has an NTFS
partition, and I think it also shows up in the BIOS which appears to be an
important distinguishing point...however, I am not sure what my BIOS settings
ought to be, it seems that it is not really recognizing it for what it really
is (I have it set to AUTO as USER HDD seemed to be way beyond me). In
Computer Management/Disk Management it shows up as healthy. It does have
data on it (although I was having some difficulties pre-reinstall, a whole
'nother story) so I don't really want to reformat unless there is no other
option. Suggestions, ideas, anyone?

When you right click on it in Disk Management, does it give you the
option of importing the drive or assigning it a letter?

hello Nathan,

No...when I right click on it in Disk Management, the options I have are
'delete partition' or 'help'.

That probably isn't a good sign, right?
