I had to reformat my C drive and re-install Windows XP. Prior to th
problem with windows, I had to other HD's installed. After th
reformat, Windows loaded fine and all was fine, except that windows X
is not assigning a drive letter to my 2 other HD's. I have SP 2 and
tried assigning drive letters through disk management, but it wont le
me. The BIOS found all 3 drives. In disk Mngt, it shows the names I ha
given the 2 extra drives in my previous windows environment.

Why can’t I get windows to load these? I have tons of info on these tw
other drives I need to get too. Can anyone help me

Try disconnecting them, boot to windows without these two drives, then shut
down windows and turn off the PC.
Next re-connect one drive at a time and re-boot, see if Windows discovers
the drive and assigns a drive letter.
Repeat the process for the remaining drive.

If what JS said doesn't work... Did you by change use GoBack before
you reformated?
