Hi,
I'm trying to help a friend in a catch 22 situation.
IE6 appears to be corrupt and needs to be re-installed. (XP Home/SP2)
I've tried sfc /scannow and reinstallation via the "ie.inf" file but when I
point it to her CD (OEM Disk) it can't find the iexplorer.exe. It looks like
it's a restore disk only.
Trouble is, I can't access the internet on her PC to download what she
needs.
Where can I download a full installation of IE6? I can then transfer the
file to a pen drive and install it that way. The MS download site only
appears to want download the necessary/appropriate files for my set-up only.
I just need a full download or at least the basics to get her going again.
If all fails, I'll will try and get it of a magazine CD tomorrow but she's
desperate for a connection tonight?
Hope somebody out there can help?
Regards,
Debi
