Reinstall XP?

Planning on a clean format and re-install of XP. Should I delete and
re-create the "C" partition before formatting it. I seem to remember just
formatting before and having 2 XP's in the boot menu afterwards.
 
Deleting the partition is not required if you are satisfied with the size of
your partitions. Make sure you format it first and then install. Don't just
choose install to this partition.

Unless you want to change the partition structure, no. You don't
need to either repartition or reformat. Just boot from the
Windows XP CD and follow the prompts for a clean installation. It
will do the reformat for you.
