Reinstall Windows with Another CD

Ok, It has come time for me to reinstall Windows. Basically, I cannot find
the CD that Dell provided me with, but my brother has a retail copy of
Windows XP. Would I be able to use his CD, but then register it with the
Windows Key on the side of my own computer, or would that not work? I don't
want to try it and then be out of luck.

Your Dell OEM product key will not work with
a retail version of Windows XP. You'll need to
contact Dell support and order a CD replacement.
