Reinstall TCP/IP?

I have a desktop running XP Pro which now rejects all attempts to get ICS to
work, via cable or wireless adapter. Would it make sense to reinstall
TCP/IP and if so what's the best way to do it?

Philip,

yes, sometimes it does make sense to do that. Actually it cannot
be uninstalled, but you can remove the entire configuration by
removing all networking components, then rebooting, then adding
the same ones again.

Please see http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm for some more
details. The text also describes this procedure.

Thanks for this - I'll try it as soon as I get access to (my friend's)
machine again.
