reinstall photo gallery

Is there anyway to reinstall just the photo gallery component? I have an HP
machine that came with Vista home prem installed and I have recover discs.
The reason is b/c photo gallery will not let me edit and save pictures. The
pics are NOT read only..already been down that road. I believe a (or some)
..dll files got deleted when I removed a few other programs.

Ahhhh - tell me about it. I have had nothing but problems with photo
gallery, It wont import pictures, when I try to add the pictures folder it
wont and give s we the message that the folder is a system folder (words to
that affect). I moved the folder and it worked ok - for about 1 day then
started again with the fecking boo errors Grrrrrrrrr. If i put my card into
the reader it askes if I want to import them I say Yes and it says Yes BUT
IT DONT....

OK -rant over, anyone got any ideas?

I believe that if you run the file integrity checker in Windows® it will ask
you to insert the cds if it detects that a file is missing or corrupted. Try
running the integrity checker by typing sfc /scannow in the run box.

....I have exactly the same problem. Photo Gallery will not add ANY folder
(not the "Pictures" folder or any other...). Have administrator rights and
own the files. Any ideas?
