Reinstall Notepad

I allowed 'RegMechanic' to remove my Windows Notepad application because it implied a virus or something had corrupted it. Now I need to reinstall Notepad. Can someone tell me how to do that from my Windows XP cd?

You might try this, Run , sfc /scannow It will look for
missing or changed dll's and stuff. Have your XP cd handy.
