Reinstall and configuration of Windows

Hi all,

My sister and brother-in-law reinstalled Win XP without
asking me in order to fix a problem. My question is how
do I have them check to see if all the hardware was
installed properly by XP. I use ME so am not all that
familiar with XP. Is it correct that I will have to have
them reupdate all the drivers as well as the security
patches?

run 'sigverif.exe' from the run box and this will tell you of 'unsigned'
driver files.

if you have reinstalled xp then all the new drivers and updates will be lost
and you will need to visit the relevant manufacturers websites to download
them.
