Recently I had to wipe my C: due to permission problems that kept it from
starting normaly, or even doing a repair install. While performing this act
of S&M on my HDD, I decided to do something ever since I mistakenly changed
the C: from FAT32 to NTFS: I am going to reinstall Windows 98SE back on my
system. (No, not because of the XP permission problems! I have older games
that don't work well with XP, even under emulation with DOSBox or VDMSound.)
Heres how my hard drives are currently partitioned:
(All partitions are now FAT32)
IDE 1 - 40GB
C: - WinXP, 30GB
E: - Win98, 10GB <= Target for 98SE reinstall
IDE 2 - 30GB (All partitions about 7.5GB each)
D: - Knoppix (Image directory for my live Knoppix Distro DVD)
F: - Apps
G:- Games
H:- Sims
I've read faqs and pages that said 98 should have been installed before XP,
but I also saw somewhere that 98 can be reinstalled even though XP is already
on my system. Hopefully that's true, because I realy don't feel like
performing more S&M on my hard drive, especially since I just installed an
scanner/printer for my system.
Anyone know of such a non-destructive way?
