Registry Questions

In the past (Win95-WinMe) When I wanted to clean up the registry I just
reformatted the drive and did a clean install, but the time factor for doing
so is getting harder to deal with. Is there a way to force XP(SP2) to
recompile or rebuild its registry, stripping out old and inaccurate registry
enteries?

Well george you coluld use a program called RegSupreme or RegSupreme
Professional, these programs can be found in this website
http://www.macecraft.com. These programs can clean your registry with no need
of reformatting your drive.

While registry cleaners can remove orphaned keys/entries, they also
sometimes messup the COM registrations and remove the legit keys. Therefore
it's advisable to stay away from these cleaners, or use it with extreme
caution. Make sure that the software that you want to use creates Undo REG
files for the changed/deleted keys, or you should create a System Restore
point (and/or) do a complete registry backup using a utility like ERUNT.

You don't have to worry about that, RegCleaner creates backup files. I use
it and it doesn't cause any problems at all...so what I am trying to say is
that it is safe to use.
