Registry Question

G

Greg Mayes

Out of the blue, laptop user, seperate local domain and
NT domain accounts with different users, starts receiving
message at startup; "One of the files containing the
system's Registry data had to be recovered by use of a
log or alternate copy."

This message is only received when he does not connect to
the NT domain. Only occurs when logging into 'local'
domain.

Have created new users; same problem locally.

Help?
Thanks in advance,Greg

Greg;

This message indicates that one of your registry files was corruted,
and the system had to recover it for the log or alternate file. This
is typicly associated with file system corruption. I would recomend
running a CHKDSK /F on the volume that Windows is installed on to see
if this help resolve the issue.
