registry key

good mourning

i uninstall a program called Speedfan and was deleteing it from my
registry but
the key named Legacy_Speedfan will not delete , are there any help out there?
and are there any way that i could find emty registry keys without running
one of those dadburn registry cleaners?
help me out if you can

After uninstalling Speedfan did you reboot then try to delete the key? If
your computer is working fine you could just leave it. If it ain't broke
......

There really no reason to delete the registry key; it isn't hurting
anything or slowing your system down by remaining. However, if it
bothers you right-click on it and change the ownership to your account
and give yourself full permissions. Then you'll be able to delete it.
Also make sure that Speedfan didn't create a service. So before you
mess about with the registry, do:
Start>Run>services.msc [enter]

Look for a Speedfan entry. If there is one, stop the service and disable
it. Then remove the registry key as per above.

The unused key doesn't hurt you and can safely ignored.
