Registry Error "cannot open parameters, error while opening key"

Hi all,

When I try to install the Cisco VPN Version 4.6.04.0043-k9 in my Win XP
SP2,
I get the error "another version of this product has been found it will
be uninstalled first and then the install can continue". And then it
wants a reboot, I reboot, run setup, get the same error.

(I tried to install the VPN before several times, but it would always
stop in the middle of the installation with an error, I forgot which)..

I tried to make a manual uninstall of all its files and registry
entries, as described in the Cisco web site, but then I could not
remove the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DeterministicNetworks\DNE\Parameters

I am logged in with an admin account;
I tried setting full permissions with REGEDT32 on that branch but it
was set already.
