As LKGC and Safe Mode give that error, you may have to try a 'Repair'
install of XP.

Yesterday (5/26/06) I encountered a similar problem with my Windows XP.
(The third and fourth addresses were different, though)
I wonder if you overcame your problem and I'd be grateful to learn how.
