Registry editing

P

Peter

I keep getting "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator"
No matter what I do I get the above message. I can't re-install any drivers
for cd/dvd rom drives, nothing. My cdrom drives are listed in device manager
with yellow exclamation in front of name. When I try to uninstall , install,
or look for other drivers I get error code 39. When I try and install driver
from a downloaded driver, I get Registry editing has been disabled by your
administrator

Please help.
Many thanks
Peter

See www.dougknox.com, Security, Disable/Enable Registry Editing Tools. Run
the script. If it says Disabled, run it again.

Then see Win XP Fixes, Restore Missing CD/DVD Drives to Explorer
