registry diabled by administrator???

i recently installed an SBC yahoo DSL browser, as it was installing, it sent
me dialog boxes saying, regestry editing disabled by administrator. i am the
administrator. i can find anywhere to fix this.....now the browser wont run
at all,
any help would be great!!
