Registry - CLSID

I was told by my software vendor, who was looking at my registry, that I have
an excessive amount of keys in HKEY_CLASSAS_ROOT\CLSID. I counted them and
came up with 6,405. Does that seem excessive? My system loads slower than
it used to. I'm wondering if my registry is bloated.

Any ideas?

While I didn't stop to count mine, it seems that I've got well over 6500 keys
there. My system is highly customized and tweaked - so this is normal for me.

Hove you optimized your system for the best performance or appearance?
What speed processor do you have?
How much memory (RAM) do you have?
How much hard drive space is remaining?
What kind of video card do you have?
What do you typically use your computer for?
Is there anything in particular that's slow about it?
