Registry Cleaners

Thanks but that was exactly what I did and just to be sure I just did
it again with the same result. I tried to FIX the first item, it was
removed from the list and then I closed CCleaner. I started it up
again, et viola, it was back right on top of the list again.

I am running Vista Home Premium 64bit and maybe CCLeaner has a problem
with it?

Have you tried to run as administrator? I have Ultimate 64 and it works for
me. Only thing I can think is if you don't have registry permissions.
