Registry Cleaner Hate Session

J

Jon

I would like to extend a warm, open invitation to an Ingsoc-sponsored
Registry Cleaner Hating session. It will take place in the main hall on
Tuesday. The program for the event is expected to be as follows.

9:00 Welcome and coffees. Opening remarks.

9:30 First session. "Hurling Abuse"

Hurling abuse at at an advert for a registry cleaner. Particularly effective
words, expressions and emotional gestures to use.

12:00 Lunch

13:00 Second session. "Joining with packs of wolves"

Training in herdlike attacks of people who understand how the registry
works. Particular focus on closing ones ears to technical issues. How to
spot newsgroup threads to jump in on and 'join the pack' !

16:00 Dinner

17:00 Final session "Triggering a reaction"

Here each candidate will be placed in a deep hypnotic trance and programmed
to respond to the trigger words "Registry cleaner". After this you will find
that in your future conversations and interactions with people that you will
respond aggressively and violently to the phrase, often without being
consciously aware of it. You will be surprised at your own reactions !!!

20:00 Closing remarks

Additional notes ...

No previous knowledge of the registry is required.

[In fact, it is an essential prerequisite that you DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING
ABOUT THE REGISTRY since if you did you may discover something that
conflicts with the basic tenets of the course. Please leave such knowledge
behind you at the door.]

Non-programmers are especially welcome, since any understanding of how
applications interact with the registry will also conflict with the course.

By the end of the day you WILL NOT have learnt a single thing about the
registry, BUT YOU WILL HAVE FORMED A STRONG OPINION ABOUT MATTERS YOU DO NOT
UNDERSTAND, and will be able to express yourself effectively. You will also
have acquired the ability to join in future hate sessions on similar topics.
The skills acquired are fully transferable.

All attendees completing the program will receive a Hate Certificate Level
1.

Clearly you have an axe to grind here Jon so if you know of something
reliable that actually works please tell...

When I defend registry cleaners, I'm really defending the value and virtue
of cleaning the registry, rather than the merits of particular products.

The most reliable way to do this imho is to learn the basics of programming
and be able to do it yourself.

Which is almost completely unnecessary in either Vista or 7.

Or XP for that matter. Course, Linux doesn't have that problem.

Alias

Because you can't do any real work with Linux so it doesn't matter.

Not the reason. It's a different and far superior file system. Perhaps
you can't do any real work with Linux but millions aren't as stupid as
you are and do a lot of real work with Linux.

So, if Linux is superior then why isn't Linux on most computers? Maybe the
millions who continue to use Windows know something that you don't!

At least you just admitted that you believe the FUD. Acceptance of your
problems is the first step to recovery.

It was a joke. You don't have the ability to realize that. Just like you
don't realize you are trying to shove Ubuntu down the throats of Microsoft
users. One day you will understand. I suggest speaking with someone who
can explain it all to you.

Print this out and take it to someone right away. Please allow 4-6 hours
for the explanation.

Whenever the nymshifter gets totally refuted, he always comes up with
this drivel. Yawn.
