Registry Changed

I am running XP and have a spy search program the
discovered that my registry has been changed. I went into
my Registry Editor for the first time and saw an
called "Account Unknown(S-1-5-32-547). I don't know what
to do. I have been keeping ALL of the Microsoft patches
updated.

User accounts under HKEY_USERS are always listed in SID form. What are you
asking?

Ok, I ran Spybot & One of the problems listed was, "DSO
Exploit: Data source object exploit". And it indicates
the Registry file has changed. And in the details
description it says there's a security hole in IE allowing
websites to execute code without asking me first. So I am
guessing someone has my resistry file. I am not networked
on this computer so it has to have come from the internet.
My question is, How do I remove the changes to my registry
and how do I protect from this happening in the future?
