John, are you sure you can't remove the program via
start \settings \ control panel \ add-remove?
The registry should be used as a last resort since you can do real
damage in there. I can't help feeling that if you need help locating
it, perhaps you shouldn't be in there yet (and particularly not if
you're feeling rattled).
If this is a program you only just installed, another method (after
add\remove) is system restore, which can return the registry to its
state before you added the program. Start \ programs \ accessories
\system tools.
