Registering components part of windows xp pro sp2 install

I have recently bought a new shiny computer and have put it all together,
bios reports everything fine and then I pop my windows xp sp2 oem swedish
install cd.

It formats the harddrive, runs everything as expected, then gets to the last
16 minutes of the install where it says "registering components (or
"Komponenter registreras" in swedish). Right there, the computer just
reboots, and I get the "restarting installation" message, returning me to the
beginning of the install (where its 39 minutes left of the install).

This has happened to me twice during installation

Any ideas?

Nevermind.. I wiped the installation and did a reinstall, worked fine after
that
