Register is corrupt.!

Somehow the registry got corrupted. Myself or my kids messed with it. It
all started with downloading ie7 beta3 without reading the fine print.

Then I could not uninstall it as it hung on the regisrty check before
completing. Now I can't use my help center, things are crashing, and
internet explorer 6 is mixed up with seven. It appears as ie6 but if you
check the about it say's its ie7.

This is all very wonderful but could someone tell me how to clean up my
registry or tell my how to go about doing a clean install? My CD-RW has not
worked in a while but my Iomega Zip still works well.

Please help. email me direct please. (e-mail address removed) Thank you.

Hi

Try a System Restore back to a point before you installed IE 7.

Try this uninstall tool (it usually works on beta 3):
IE7beta2 uninstaller:
"Forces uninstall of Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 using default files and
settings. This toolkit will uninstall Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 using
default files and settings from Microsoft. It is only intended for use if
normal uninstallation methods failed. See KB 923721 for more information."

Sorry no email support - asked here, answered here. To do a repair install
or a clean install you'll need to have the CD drive working.

In the future, problems related to IE7 should be posted in the internet
explorer newsgroup.
