RegEdt32.Exe

How do you use RegEdt32 in Windows XP. It's gone. I have
5 different PC's and a Win2K3 server. None of them have
it but they all have a file named regedt32 that just
points to regedit. How do I actually get my hands on
RegEdt32?

I suppose you can try to use a copy from Win2000 although I'm not sure
it will even work. However......

You don't need to use regedt32.exe in Windows XP as regedit.exe now
performs the same functions plus search. What are you trying to do
that you can't do with regedit.exe?

In WinXP and Win2K3 server, all regedt32.exe does is open regedit.exe, this
is by design.

The working program in XP is regedit. Try to get out of the habit of
thinking regedt32 - which as you have found is just a stub to load the
other program for the benefit of legacy users
