Regarding Vista asking for a password, but never set one up!?!?

Hello:

When I created another user account in Vista (Home Prem), I didn't create a
password. Now after a shutdown, and a day later, it is asking for a password
to open programs up and also to access the new account that I created. I
never set up a password and I'm not familiar with any other "default"
password. How do I fix this? All these glitches in Vista are very upsetting.

Thanks.

If you are certain you never set a password, then on the password change
screen, just keep entering down through the last button. It then should go
right to your desktop or your new user account. This has worked for me, if
I understand that your issue is similar to one that I had. If it is, and
this works, you might see the same password reset message in 60 days or so.
Just do the same thing. It's not really a Vista glitch; it's just another
of Vista's security precautions.
