Regarding SP4

Microsoft sight says that SP4 for win 2000 is recomended
to install, but some people says that it gives lots of
Problem after installation SP4. I bought a new PC and i
have installed Win 2000 Prof and now i amplanning to
install SP4, please advice shall i install it in my
computer?

MS is testing SPs very hard but it could not be excluded that an
installation may cause serious damage to your installation.
The SP is working in most cases (almost every case) but what if *you*
are the one in the million?
Backup is a good idea, not only before SP installation but in general.
It's up to you to decide.
