regaining access to encrypted files from previous os

M

Michael Phillips

I have some files that were encrypted in a previous OS
(dual boot). The files are on a separate partition. The
computer crashed and after re-installing wixXP (no other
OS. Have lost my W2K OS discs), I could no longer access
the files. Have tried to change permissions, remove
encryption, etc., but to no avail. Have also archived
the files using Retrospect (originals deleted after
successful archive), then I retrieved them to another
drive. The files are still brought back with the
attributes 'AE'. Is there anything I can do to gain
access to these files? If possible, please respond to my
email because I'm not sure I'll be able to find this
usergroup again to read the responses. My email is
michael(remove_spam)@eyemagicgraphics.com. Thanks very
much.

It was a typo, he meant to say, your "data."
