reg clean 4.1

Can I use the ms reg clean 4.1 utility in xp?
if not what OS does this work for and what is the
equivaent for xp.

I would not run it-as it may corrupt XP system files-as it's designed for
Windows 95

I tried running RegClean with XP. The result was 35K .reg file with
removed entries. Rebooted and ran it again immediately, got the same
result. Since XP returns most registry entries that RegClean removes,
there doesn't seem much point.
