refreshig connections to database

I have an application connected to a large database placed in a server
computer
the first time taht any form loads the loading is havey and slowly
second time and after speed is correct
i guess it's relate to refreshig the connections to the database
how i can refresh those links so when user loades a form it will go normaly
from the first time
