my monitor says it supports 100hz when i choose opimal it adaptor settings
it only runs at 72 hz. my question is if i run at a higher referesh rate
will it decrease performance or worse damage my monitor. I have the proper
monitor drivers installed and cat 3.9 it says improper refresh rates can
damage monitors.
Also i have another question i want to run 2 monitors on a saphire 9100 128
is there a dvi to vga adaptor availble if so where is it available ive
looked a local computer stores.

Most monitors if not all are protected against invalid scan ranges, you're
unlikely to do damage but some people claim it has happened to them.

Dude, if you don't properly install your monitor (leave the monitor as
a Plug and Play monitor in device manager), all you'll have available
are defaults... try to find an INF file for your monitor....

True, but some monitors get damaged switching through 6 or 7 invalid rates
until it finds one that works. The 'switching' is not meant to be
continuous.
