reformat and install

How do you reformat the hardrive and reinstall windows xp
home? Any special steps to prepare besides saving
documents to disk? Is the reinstall a no brainer?

When you use the XP install disk it will allow you to reformat the disk.
The install should be pretty painless if you have XP compatible hardware and
software.
As you stated make sure you save your data on a disk or second partition on
your hard drive.
