refilling a Lexmark E310 cart?

B

Brendan R. Wehrung

I just (finally, after almost a year) replaced toner cartridge for my
Lexmark E310 (made by Samsung, but not interchangable with their printers).

The new one works fine but I've preserved the used-up one, which Lexmark
would like me to send back for "recycling". Is there a shelf-life on used
laser cartridges or could I refill it as some future date and put it back
into use?

How would I do this? I recall a URL mentioned which led to an e-zine that
told how to refill, but which would not be free for all to read until some
time in the future. Anybody recall what it was? And whose bulk toner is
compatible?

Thanks in advance!

Brendan

Keep the cart dry, in a sealed bag with some dessicant maybe, out of
the light. Should keep for years.
