We did an upgrade from Win ME to Win XP. We've run out of hard drive
space, and while looking on the drive, found 3 folders that are
questionable.
They are: C:\REDOCS\..., C:\REPROGS\..., and C:\REPROG\... .
All 3 folders have Read-only attributes and dates from June when the
upgrade was done.

Questions:
Are these folders leftover from the upgrade from Win ME to Win XP?
Are these folders backup copies by Win XP of the contents of the hard
drive under Win ME?
Can these folders be safely deleted?
If I can delete them, can I do it the easy way with windows explorer, or
do I need to use a certain Win XP program?

Thanks in advance,

No. The folders do not have to do with Windows.

drive under Win ME?

No. See above.
Can these folders be safely deleted?

Depends. Create a new folder TEST and move the folders to this new
folder. Leave it so for some time to find out if software misses the
data. If all still works well you should be able to get rid of the
folders.

If the folders are not in use anymore you can delete them with the
Windows Explorer.
