redirect question

I have several problems with Internet Explorer that I
believe are related. First, when I'm typing a web address
and I don't type the letters "http://" before typing the
letters "www" I get redirected to arbitrary website.
However, when I type http://www...then it takes me to the
desired website. The second problem I have is with
different links on certain websites. Often times after
clicking on a link, I get redirected to arbitrary sites,
rather than the website that I'm interested in. I've
tried spyware software, Norton's and other stuff, but
nothing seems to work. Also, I've reset all my settings
in the"Internet options" section of the control panel, and
that doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions???

The culprit is probably this parasite. Get the removal tool.
