Red X's

When I try to use some applications like Incredimail and MS Word, images that
I add to the pages will only show as red x's instead of showing the image. I
just tried to make a web page with MS Word and this happened. I am assuming
that since this is happening with different programs there must be a setting
that I need to change. I hope that someone can help me.

This means that you have inserted a link to the image rather than the image
itself. When you download your document to your website, you must also
download the images.
All of this is explained in books on HTML coding.

Actually, no. I didn't put a link at all. Also, it isn't just word I have
this problem with. It is also happening when I use a program called Letter
Creator for Incredimail. Thanks anyway.

I don't know anything about Incredimail.
With MS Word, if you want to insert a picture in a document you go:
Open the document
Click on Insert on the top bar
Click on Picture on the opening menu
Click on From file on the opening list.
Browse to where the picture is located in a folder and click on the picture.
The picture will be automatically inserted in the document and you should
see it, not a red X.

If you follow these steps and still get a red X get back to us.

Yes, this is what I did. I am not new to these programs, but this is a new
computer and I am worried that there is a setting wrong somewhere in XP.
Thanks anyway.
